BRAVA Core&Pelvic Floor Certification for Birthworkers

BRAVA was born from the idea that there are gaps in knowledge among many professionals working with pregnant or postpartum people regarding core and pelvic floor during pregnancy, birth and healing in postpartum.

Have you noticed this gap, too? Are your clients or students asking you questions like…

If I do more kegels will that make birth easier?

I’m afraid of tearing during birth can you help me?

I’m leaking urine in yoga class, is that normal?

Is it safe to have sex while pregnant?

I’m a runner and want to keep running, is that ok?

Why is my belly bulging when I get out of bed to go feed my baby or when I do updog in yoga?

I’m not feeling ready to have sex, but it has been 7 weeks, is that normal?

You have done the work to build relationships with your clients so they trust you with these intimate questions. At BRAVA we want to empower you to confidently answer these questions and many more and also to know when and how to make a good referral when needed.

For those of you thinking about becoming BRAVA certified I would say that it has IMMENSELY helped me to be more confident and knowledgeable in guiding my patients during both their pregnancy and postpartum journeys. I've been able to immediately implement the coursework and see dramatic changes in how my patients are healing with the right resources in place.
